The holidays offer plenty of chances to fill your social media calendar with quick and easy content. Not only are posts easy to come up with, but many of them offer you the opportunity to get your followers involved and hopefully increase your base of followers.

What better way to say thank you to your followers than to give them something for free? Giveaways are a great way to increase reposts and shares year-round, but during the holidays it sometimes feels extra special.
Plus, it’s a great way to say “thank you” to your followers and fans.

A DIY video that shows your followers how to make a quick and easy holiday gift or card may be an awesome way to gain shares, likes and ultimately, new followers.
Have a favorite family recipe that you cook every year? Your social media page is a great place to share it. Not only are you spreading the holiday joy, but you’re also getting people to like and share your post, especially if the photo you provide makes someone’s mouth water or stomach grumble.
WishPond suggests a caption this post on social media. Post a funny photo and then ask your followers to create a caption. If you want even more interaction, offer a prize to the person with the best caption.
To make it a little more personal, take some funny photos from around the office or ask your employees to take some funny pictures of their pets. It’s a good way to share a little piece of the personal side of your business, while still getting involvement from your followers.
Ask a Holiday Related Question
One of the things you learn about people is they love sharing and feeling involved. Ask a holiday related question such as, “What’s your favorite holiday movie?” or “Best Christmas Eve tradition” and then give your followers a chance to answer.

Along that same vein, a this or that post. For example, hot apple cider or hot chocolate? Marshmallows or whipped cream? Consider creating a creative or funny card that can be shared again and again. You don’t need to go all out the way Jib Jab did, but something fun and festive that brings a smile to the face of your followers can go a long way.
